Women & Migraine / Les femmes et la migraine
Est-ce que c'est moi ou les migraines menstruelles sont les pires? Et, trouvez-vous que vos médicaments habituels marchent moins bien dans ce temps-là?
Do you find, like me, that your menstrual migraines are worse than any others you have during the month? And do you find that your usual medication does not work as well?

Yes I do agree that menstrual migraines are the worst. Let's put it this way, in 17 years, I have never had a period sans migraine. All the prophylactic treatment I've tried, ex. taking naproxen 2x/day starting 3 days before the start of my period up until 3 days after, has not worked. Moreover, the triptans don't work as well on these as they do on non-menstrual migraines. I tried hormonal treatments, stopped after 2 weeks due to unpleasant side effects. The only thing that works somewhat is making sure I get plenty of rest during that week. Does anyone else have any tricks?
