exercise and migraines
I have heard both side, some people it clears their minds and for the time that they are exercising it takes it off oftheir mind, or stops them from starting. For my self the fresh air helps me think about it less but will no relieve them especially if it is cold out. Part of the reason why it may not help me so much is that i have a fractured spine so walking or riding a bike will help clear my mind but more intense exercise like running will make it worse. My doctor told me even if exercise does not make you feel better, I creates a change or scenery, especilally if you have been locked up in you house for a few days.

exercise and migraine
I haven't noticed exercise triggering a migraine. OK. So I don't exercise much. ha ha. I know that when you have a migraine, obviously exercise makes it worse. What I do find is that moderate exercise really helps my mood. The endorphins which are released are also much cheaper than drugs!!! Plus, getting oxygen to circulate through my body gives me more energy. Migraine can really drain my body and if I spend too much time in bed, after a while it actually will make me feel worse. So once the worst is over, I'll force myself to move and always feel better for doing so.

exercise and migraine
I have noticed that for me exercise does trigger a migraine. But what is very strange is that it doesn't always start right away. It can be a delayed response, sometimes hitting me 6 hours later. However, despite the migraine triggering effect, I also find that mild-moderate exercise tends to help my mood, and perhaps decrease my overall migraine frequency. Even during my exercise routine I feel the endorphin rush which makes it very hard to gauge how much exercise is enough before entering the migraine-inducing zone. I still haven't been able to determine my threshold (so many variables can affect it) but what has helped me is taking Indocid, an anti-inflammatory, before I start to exercise. While it worked wonders for a while, I may need to increase the dose since it appears that my body has gotten tolerant to it after a couple of months.
